Wow! This book is great. This book was better than anticipated and that is always a plus. Not only are there flowers in this book but there are vegetables also. I can't wait to make the peas, carrots and asparagus to decorate my gardening hat with. What fun! The book is laid out well, also. Items that are similar are placed together so that you can look at and compare them easily. The book is not for beginners as the crochet patterns require at least an intermediate skill to understand them but for a true hobbyist, this book is marvelous. It is one of the few times I've purchased a book that ended up being much better than I thought it would be.

The patterns in the book are well written and demonstrated with wonderful pictures. I like that the patterns are organized according to their difficulty levels. I've done several flowers without problems, even the advanced levels although I consider myself in an intermediate level.

I thought these patterns were going to be over my head but they're not! Fun, easy, well-written and a million inspirational ideas!

I loved this book except for one thing; too many of them were instructions for crochet, which I do not do well. I would have loved to have had all patterns written out for crochet and knitting

I have been crocheting and knitting for a long time. This book has beautiful and easy to make flowers. Any level crochet or knitter can make the flowers. It also has butterfiles and other insects that add to the beauty of the garden. Love this book.

I agree with other reviewers - the flowers are beautiful. I also like that the book gives you ideas and suggestions for variations on the patterns to make your own unique flowers. However, I am working on just my first pattern from this book, and already I have two complaints: 1) A large proportion of the patterns involve making 2 or more flower pieces separately and then sewing them together. Personally, I dread assembly. I don't mind joining colors, but I much prefer to work flowers as a single piece. If you don't mind assembly, this won't bother you, but it will probably impact my use of this book. On the positive side, it does give you more flexibility if you want to create variations. 2) Patterns cross pages. I find it really distracting to keep having to flip a page when I'm crocheting - especially when it's a part of the pattern that repeats, so I have to do it multiple times. I wish the book had been edited so that if you have to turn the page during a pattern, at least it is at the end of a row/round. And wouldn't it be nice to have a book that's spiral bound so the pages lie flat when you're trying to read them? Anyway, I will probably make some more of the patterns from this book, but mostly I will probably stick with the flower patterns in the Harmony Guides book of crochet motifs and the occasional flower patterns I find in other books and online.

I give Crochet Bouquet 2 thumbs up on originality and great photographs. However, if you are a beginner, I would not choose this as your first book as there is no glossary of stitches or directions on how to make them if you need help or a reminder. I found myself checking my other books on creating some of the stitches or looking them up online. Other than that, I had a fantastic time making these little posies and pansies. I will definitely be making more. They are fast and a great way to use up little pieces of yarn in my stash!

I really looked forward to this book when I ordered it and was extremely disappointed to find there are no diagrams. Anyone who crochets even a little can do small flowers and embellishments. But writing a book without diagrams is just of no help. Starting points and ending points are so simple to indicate but almost arrogant when left out of a book that is supposed to be instructions. Basically, I will use this book to look at the pretty pictures and draw my own diagrams after I figure it out.

I added this book to an order to get the free shipping, and I am so glad I did! All of the flowers, but especially the three-dimensional ones, are pretty and look really realistic. I can't wait to make some. The book is full-color and has good instructions. Well worth the price.

Many flowers to choose from. Glossy Color pages. Directions are easy to follow. Great value for so many patterns. The only problem I have is choosing which flower to crochet next.

I am constantly delving into this book to find just the right flower or flowers for my latest creation. The stitch charts are great and the patterns are flawless. Love it, love it, love it.

Firstly, I am a fan of Nicky Epstein. I have other books by her including one for crocheting Barbie doll clothes. Easy instructions and great illustrations.

There are some really nice flowers in this book. The book itself is beautifully laid out. But... I can not get past the photographs! They are professional and artistic, but they are absolutely wrong for a technique book. They are all similar to the cover image; the items are shown at an angle, with several on a page and a very narrow depth of field. The result is that for most of the patterns, you cannot see what the finished product looks like. Other things that I didn't care for A significant number of the patterns use beads or other items. Also, there are quite a few projects included, a few of which I thought were pretty ugly. It would have been better to use those pages for more flower designs.

While the photography is great , the book's actual content could be better. I was very disappointed and expected more.

Exactly what I was looking for. I like the designs and the instructions are clear and therefore easy to follow.
